Restoration of Old Pictures

Valuable old family photographs often suffer from age and may be faded, stained, creased, torn or "foxed" (Spotted). It is now possible to substantially improve the appearance of these by computer enchancement.

Your old prints are looked after with great care and no attempt is made to restore the orginal, The orginal print is either scanned or re-photographed, so that all improvements are carried out on a computer.

It is now possible to remove almost all types of damage, including tears, creases, spots and scratches. Faded pictures can be restored to something like their original density and contrast. If the print is sharp enough it may be enlarged, which also can make faces in large groups more recognisable

Costs are reasonable, though we need to see the photgraphs to give an estimate.
